Another Chance Encounter: Lubaina Himid and Magda Stawarska celebrates Lubaina Himid's first UK museum exhibition since 2018, made in collaboration with the artist Magda Stawarska. Beautifully designed in collaboration with the artist, this fully illustrated book documents three new bodies of paintings and installations created for the exhibition at Kettle’s Yard. The publication follows Himid and Stawarska as they brilliantly craft alternative histories across painting, print, found objects and installation. The book includes new essays by Dr Amy Tobin, Amelia Groom and Aneta Krezmien in conversation with Magda Starwarska, as well as Himid's own writing.
